LIPA: Creation of Broadcast Quality Sound Studio

The project at Liverpool Institute for Performing Art called for a complete re-design and internal build of an existing space to create a state-of-the-art film and TV Studio with accompanying production resources.

The conversion of the 1990 Sennheiser theatre and ancillary accommodation within the Grade 2* listed LIPA campus needed to provide a fully functional art, film and TV Studio with state-of-the-art production capability. These spaces were critical for the delivery of the new Higher Education Creative Technology & Production BA Hons programme to enable students to film, capture, edit, grade, mix and broadcast in one space. The studios were fitted with industry standard equipment enabling production and post-production to be recognised by UK industry standards.
